Legg & Co was established in 2012 by Managing Director, Roland Legg with the mission to bring 'common sense' to residential Lettings and Sales.

"Having worked in the industry since 1987, initially in finance, specialising in Buy to Let mortgages, and then as an estate agent/ letting agent, I felt that the industry had become more focused on fees than genuinely wishing to help client.

Nothing makes my day more than a call or an email from a client to thank me for great service that they have received from our fabulous team. I am extremely proud of them and what we have achieved.

At Legg & Co we have built a large portfolio of rental properties entirely based on recommendations and word of mouth. Our goal has been to build mutual trust between landlord/agent and agent/tenant. We have also helped many clients buy and sell their homes for an extremely competitive fee and have made the process as honest and stress free as possible."

Letting Fee Information

Refundable Holding deposit - Capped at 1 weeks rent

Security Deposit - Capped at 5 weeks rent for annual rental under £50,000, or 6 weeks rent for annual rental over £50,000

Rent - The agreed monthly rent

Changes to tenancy - Capped at £50 inc VAT

Early termination charge - Not exceeding the landlord’s financial losses

Late payment of rent - Interest of 3% above BoE base rate for each day the rent is late, once it is 14 days overdue

Replacement keys - Reasonable costs or give the tenant the option to purchase themselves

Utilities, council tax, communication services, TV Licence etc - Tenants own responsibility unless otherwise stated in contract
